    Great Western Mine
    Notice we the undersigned do hereby Locate and claim fifteen hundred feet for mining purposes on this Lead Lode as Ledge as Deposit of Copper, Silver and gold bearing rock and ore to be Known and described as the great Western Mine commencing at this monument upon which this notice is placed and running Easterly seven hundred and fifty feet from this monument and seven hundred and fifty feet in a Westerly Direction from this monument on and along said Lead Lode as Ledge as Deposit of [not legible] SIlver and gold bearing rock and ore and including three hundred feet on each side there of for mining and working purpose we claim and intend to hold and work said claim and mining ground in accordance with the mining Laws of the United States approved May 10th 1881 and in accordance with the mining Laws of El Dorado Canyon mining District Lincoln County State of Nevada said mine is Situated in Copper [not legible] one half mile below alum springs Dated april the 26th 1882
