My dear Mr.Bettis: Referring to our recent conversation as to the location of the company houses, and to your request to me to send you a personal list of where I think these should he located, X heg to submit to you the following: Ho. of Houses Size Lots Blocks 5 3 1 5 5 2 1 5-room 1 4-room 1 5-room 1 5 3 3 3 3 1 to 8 SB 11 to 15 11 15 & 16 22 9 to 16 10 7 to 14 27 19 to 21 21 10 & 11 28 6 & 7 12 19 to 26 27 1 to 5 23 28 to 32 23 1 to 5 26 28 to 32 26 I might also state that X have talked the matter over very thoroughly with Mr. Shanahan, and this list will be a very convenient list for him in the way of erecting these houses, as he contemplates running a spur down either Clark Street or Lewis Street. You will notice X have marked five houses in lots 1 to 8 in block 22. This property is now occupied by the school building, but we can have them move it off at once, and those five can be the last constructed by Mr. Shanahan. And I might also state that those five houses will be houses that I can get $25.00 per month out of.
