Cash on hand, January 1st, 1930 $59,648.64 Balance due from second half of taxes, 1929 22,616.00 The Clerk was directed to deliver a copy of the Budget to the Board of County Commissioners, to have Budget published once a week for two consecutive weeks in a newspaper printed and published in Las Vegas, and to send a copy of said Budget to the State Board of Finance. The matter of the tax levy was next brought before the Board. There upon, the following Resolution was adopted by the Board of Commissioners upon motion of Commissioner German, seconded by Commissioner Thomas, and unanimously carried: RESOLVED that an ad valorem tax of $.149 on each one hundred dollars worth of taxable property situate, lying and being within the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, be levied, collected, and paid for the year 1930, including the net proceeds of the mines, except such property as is exempt from taxation, said tax to be known as and used as the Salary Fund. RESOLVED that an ad valorem tax of $.033 on each one hundred dollars worth of taxable property situate, lying and being within the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, be levied, collected, and paid for the year 1930, including the net proceeds of the mines, except such property as is exempt from taxation, said tax to be know as and used as the Police and Fire Fund. RESOLVED that an ad valorem tax of $.403 on each one hundred dollars worth of taxable property situate, lying and being within the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, be levied, collected, and paid for the year 1930, including the net proceeds of the mines, except such property as is exempt from taxation, said tax to be known as and used as the Streets & Alley Fund. RESOLVED that an ad valorem tax of $.299 on each one hundred dollars worth of taxable property situate, lying and being within the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, be levied, collected, and paid for the year 1930, including net proceeds of the mines, except such property as is exempt from taxation, said tax to be known as and used as the Water Sewer and Light Fund. RESOLVED that an ad valorem tax of $.020 on each one hundred dollars worth of taxable property situate, lying and being within the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, be levied, collected, and paid for the year 1930, including the net proceeds of the mines, except such property as is exempt from taxation, said tax to be known as and used as the Cemetery Fund. RESOLVED that and ad valorem tax of $.086 on each one hundred dollars worth of taxable property situate, lying and being within the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, he levied, collected, and paid for the year 1930, including the net proceeds of the mines, except such property as is exempt from taxation, said tax to be known as and used as the Bond Interest Fund. RESOLVED that an ad valorem tax of $.105 on each one hundred dollars worth of taxable property situate, lying and being within the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, be levied, collected, and paid for the year 1930, including net proceeds from the mines, except such property as is exempt from taxation, said tax to be known as and used as the Bond Interest Fund. RESOLVED that an ad valorem tax of $.024 on each one hundred dollars worth of taxable property situate lying and being within the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, be levied, collected, and paid for the year 1930, including net proceeds from the mines, except property as is exempt from taxation, said tax to be known as and used as the Public Library Fund. RESOLVED that an ad valorem tax of $.042 on each one hundred dollars worth of taxable property situate lying and being within the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, be levied, collected, and paid for the year 1930, including the net proceeds from the mines, except such property as is exempt from taxation, said tax to be known as and used as the Publicity Fund.* The vote on said resolution was as follows: Commissioners German, Thomas, and Smith and His Honor the Mayor, J. F. Hesse, voting Aye. Noes none.
