Blond® - Las Vegas) Xn connection with recent request of Mayor Oralgen for additional compensation to he paid by the Water Company for the use of the city streets: X have Just been looking over a new Ordinance passed by the City of Long Beach which provides for the issuance of permits to Install and maintain pipes, pipe lines and facilities in the streets and highways of the city. One of the provisions of the ordinance provides for an annual fee of $125.00 per mile except in the ease of pipe lines used for refrigeration fluid where the fee Is $250.00 per mile and in the case of pipe lines used for the transportation of waste water when the fee Is $25.00 a mile. It would be Interesting to know the number of miles of pipe line we have in the city streets of Las Vegas. S. E. Bennett EEB:AF
