Reinhardt: ? f Your letter September k regarding our ap* plication to the State Engineer for permission to drill a well on the Las Vegas Ranch: I now enclose State Engineer’s approval of our application to drill. While the permit provides that no perforations in the pipe will be made above the 400 ft level, I wrote Mr. Smith, as suggested in your letter September as per copy of my letter September 7 attached, so that in the event we are unsuccessful in securing an adequate flow below the ^•00 ft level we can re-open the subject with him.
