I agree.(COPY) (Letterhead of) Southern Pacific Company 65 Market St., San Francisco June 22> 1942. Mr. Geo. L. Vargas Secretary-Manager Nevada Railroad Association 308 Reno National Bank Building Reno, Nevada. Dear Mr. Vargas: You will recall that during the discussion with Mr. Dey when you were last in San Francisco, that Mr. Dey suggested to you that conditions then developing indicated quite definitely that it might become advisable to discontinue the work which has been conducted by the Nevada Railroad Association and that it was suggested that you avail yourself of any other offer which you believed might contribute to your own interest. The carrier members of the Association have now reluctantly decided that the activities of the Association should be greatly curtailed, if not entirely discontinued, and that the office of Secretary-Manager should be abolished as of August 1, 1942. The officials of the three member roads have requested us to convey this information to you and to express our appreciation of the efforts you have made on behalf of the roads and to thank you for the services which you have rendered. Yours very truly, be Mr. E.E.Bennett be Mr. C.W.Pooling \
