I agree.ifl Angeles - Nov. 11, 1949 Hr. T.W. Bookes » Omaha! (cc: Hr. Win. Reinhardt} Some time ago, City Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas drew up an ordinance levying a gross earnings tax on the various public utilities operating in the City of Las Vegas, the volume of the tax with respect to the Las Vegas Land & Water Company being proposed to be 2% of the gross earnings. 1 had been advised that the other public utilities had employed Leo HoNamee to represent them in the negotiations with the City Commissioners and after consulting with Hr. Reinhardt, and with his approval, I arranged to employ Hr. HoNamee to represent the Water Company. As a result of his representation, we were able to have the proposed tax against the Water Company reduced from 2% of the gross earnings to 5/4 of 1 am enclosing herewith statement from Hr. HoNamee for his services, approved by me, together with Form 183 and Form 4225 and would appreciate It if you would have a voucher issued and mailed direotly to Hr. HoNamee. E. E, Bennett Ends EEBJAF
