The District has determined that it will not consent to the assign­ment to the District and the addition to the purchase price payable by the District under said Agreement of June 1, 1953* o f any unpaid amounts due the Water Company on the sale date from customers for service furnished under said Rate No. 21. However the District is willing to accept an assignment of any such unpaid amounts upon the sale date for collection purposes only. Agreement NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS AGREED by and between the parties hereto as follows* The Water Company hereby assigns to the District,effective upon the sale date,all unpaid amounts due the Water Company upon the sale date from customers under said Rate 21 of the aforesaid Rates, Rules and Regulations for cooling water for air-conditioning,refrigeration, ice-making and other similar equipment. The District agrees to make reasonable efforts to collect said unpaid charges and to make writ­ten report to the Water Company at the end of every 30-day period subsequent to the sale date of the amounts so collected by the Dis­trict or remaining unpaid.
