Dear Sir:- I Leg to acknowledge receipt of your favor of the 13 th inst., which is in reply to mine of the 7th in regard to price on cattle on the range,helonging to our company. Note carefully what you say in regard to it. In reply, beg to say I do not think we would care to dispose of them at the price you named, as, when the road is completed,though,I feel very sure that we could ship them up into Utah and get a very much better price. I regret I was not able to make the trip overland, hut could not get away at that time. I do not know when I will he in Salt Lake. A little later, I will take up with our people the question of these cattle and see then what is best to do with them, hut I feel very sure if you want to go into the stock business that they are worth more tli&n $10 per head.
