October 9, 1969 if Howard Hughes Las Vegas Boulevard Las Vegas, Nevada Dear Mr. Hughes: Last year the Elks National Organization planned their annual trip, which included Las Vegas. They were very impressed with the city and had a wonderful time. This trip has inspired the theme of this years annual show we are putting on in January. The money we make from the show goes to charitable organizations such as the Michigan Elks Handicapped Childrens Fund and the Elks National Foundation. Since Las Vegas is our theme and the Hotels are, infact, Las Vegas, we would appreciate any merchandise we might use for our promotion. We can use posters, souvenirs, or anything pertaining to your hotels. Any decorations or small gifts for the guest will be grately appreciated. We have approximately 400 people attend our shows. I have itfritten the Chamber of Commerce and several hotels, They answered but regretted they could not help me. ITm hoping you might help me out.
