    Las Vegas - February 1, 1954 INJURY CASE - Homer Thompson 1. Homer Thompson mads application for.work on approximately &% &&? 29, 1953. 2. Minor's Release was executed by bis mother, Mrs. F. E. Thompson on Ootober 30, 1953. 3. Thompson was referred to the dootor and doctor'a report was returned to the office marked “Qualified", after examination on Ootober 29, 1953- The question contained on the physical test record was, "Has he hernia?*. The report shows "Ho*. 4. Homer Thompson was employed as laborer effective Ootober JO , 1953. 5. He left the service of the oompany December 24, 1953. 6. Superintendent Doyle and Foreman Harry Btlles state that approximately three days before he left the servioe of the company he oomplained of a pain in his side, at whioh time Foreman Stiles states that he ssoured a uedloal examination slip from the offloe and sent him to Dr. Demoan. 7. Foreman Stiles states that after Thompson oame back he asked him If he had ever been troubled that way before, and he stated he had, about a year before. The way the foreman understood Thompson's statement was that the dootor had told him he was born with the oondltlon, presumably hernia. Thompson stated that he was going to take a trip to Los Angeles to visit his wife on Friday (Deoember 25th) and that he would be book for work on Monday morning. He did not work after returning from the dootor*a offloe. 8. Foreman Stiles states that he has no knowledge of the dootor ever oalling this company stating that Thompson had a hernia.
