Meeting with agencies involved with flood control and those who had experienced flood damage on their property. Conducted by the Clark County Extension Service in Cooperation with Representatives of the U. S. Forest Service, Mr. Warren Murphy, Field Agent of Secretary of Agriculture, Charles F. Brannan, for the Southwest Region, Clark County Commissioners and Property Owners whose land has been damaged in this area.

Brannan; Geographic areas: North Las Vegas, East Charleston, East College, Meadow Valley Wash; Columbia River Basin; Flood control survey; erosion; weakening of house foundations; wataer conservation; pumping water from Lake Mead at high cost; holding flash store waters; Natural flood ways and divided channels; Flood Control Act; reduce the rate of siltation; ditch with a levee; people working together; Related parties: Corps of Engineers; District U.S. Engineers; Department of Agriculture; U. S. Forest Service; Soil Conservation Service; The Las Vegas watershed is important to you people, but it is only one watershed. We have another in Southern Utah, and three more in Idaho. Know what you are trying to do, get in on a little more orderly basis. The fact that we are actually working on a broad river basin approach, we are obliged to cover the Columbia River Basin.
