Adame: Reference your A-773 and 776 also letter of June 15th In regard to prices of meter, meter box cover and lids for proposed Installation at Yermo, California# I am enclosing sketch of what we have proposed to use for this Installation. Note that the metSr box is to he made from SH Pintsch gas tanks cut to required length and which are now on hand at Los Angeles Store# These tanks are 30-1/2* inside diameter# It Is proposed to use the Clark meter box cover and lid or something similar to that# Your A-776 quotes the prloe of $3#47 FOB Mattoon, 111- inoisi freight rate to Salt Lake City Is $2.35 cwt which makes total cost $3#37 at Salt Lake City# 9e are instructed to keep the amount of this work order under $1000 and in order to do this, It will be neoessary to secure covers at a less price than that asked for the Clark cover and lid. Will you please advise me prices on a suit­able cast iron cover and lid similar to that shown on sketch attached? * Also will ySU furnish me prices and standard make of tfesnr water meter, sizes 5/8*, 3/4*, 1*, and If*. It is possible we can reduce our total re­quirements to about 55 meters, approximately 50 of which will be 5/8* size, the remainder being of 3/4* - 1* and l-l/Ky sizes# Although we have not received authority for this work, wish to determine what materials will be used in event it is approved in order that proper reference can be made on requisitions* A* L# OOEY# 9—2
