Possibly further revision In the size ®ay be required to fit standard metal card flies* If you concur, or have any other revisions In mind, we will send seven (7) samples of porposed revision. With respect to Form 26: The present column entitled "Name* serves no purpose inasmuch as Service Numbers only are shown on Form 2$, from which they are transferred, to Form 26. It appears that we can eliminate this column and save considerable time in typing the report * If this is done it will afford room for the Insertion of an additional column entitled "Adjustments* in which we would show vacancy allowances in red or additional accruals in black, thus eliminating any change or interlineation in column "Water This Month*. I submit a proposed revision of the Form on the above basis in which we have also allowed a little more room in those columns requiring seven digits; and have also provided more space in the "Remarks* column to explain vacancy allowances, etc, If you concur, we will submit seven ) samples in the usual manner. If approved, we would, of course, include the horizontal lines for each item as on the present Form 26. 2m It is not clear what advantage a special form of receipt in duplicate would provide for use covering amounts collected for deposits or advance payments as we now use Form 4 for advance payment on water service; and Form 22, in triplicate, for water service connections and other charges. The original is given to the consumer at the time he makes the payment, one copy is given to Superintendent for notation of tap measurements and returned for our files; triplicate copy is retained in the office for preparation of Form 2, "Detail of Charges *. If a manipulation of Company funds were intended, it would be as easy to omit making the new receipt form as it would be to omit making the present receipt fores. However, there is very little llklihood of this as consumer is given a receipt for payments in all eases and same is then entered on Form 25. However,we shall be gl&d to give further consideration to this fora of receipt if you feel that it should be used. 3* Depit adjustments for water service revenues accrued in previous months are made on 26 subsequent Forms from the record we keep in the office showing vacancy allowances. These vacancy allowances are made only on authority of the Assistant to the General Manager or myself and then only after we have satisfied ourselves
