4896-11-213 (Case No. 1221) Los Angeles - May 27, 1953 C Mr. L. R. Maag: Referring to your letter of May 26th, your file 0 ¥-23-4-8, in connection with refrigeration rates: I think the draft of your proposed letter to the P Safeway Stores is satisfactory. With respect to Mr. Peart’s postscript to you on $ Mr. Rouse's letter to Mr. Sutton of May 6th, which you enclosed with your letter of May 26th, I suggest you advise Mr. Peart that in connection with the refrigeration hearing the Commission has stated that they would, in any opinion and order handed down therein, make necessary provisions in such order for the charging or waiving of outstanding refrigeration charges and that we can not advise Mr. Peart definitely what action should be taken by the Accounting Department until we receive theorder in the refrigeration case, No. 1221. For your information, I talked to Mr. Allen on the telephone this afternoon and he was rather uncertain as to when the order would be out but I explained the accounting situation to him and he said he had that in mind and would take care of it in the order if and when written.
