The People of the State of Nevada,represented in Senate and Assembly, do enact as follows: :1 . Section 1. The title of the above-entitled act is hereby amended • 2 to read as follows: 3 . An act to create a water district in the Las Vegas valle/, Clark 4 County, Nevada; to provide for the procurement, storage, distribu- 1 , 5 tion and sale of water and rights in the use thereof from Lake Mead 6 for industrial, irrigation, municipal, and domestic uses; to provide, 7 for the conservation of the ground-water resources of the Las Vegas 8 valley, and to create authority to purchase, acquire and construct the 9 necessary works to carry out the’ provisions of this act;' [to authorize 10 a tax levy for the payment of obligations' during the organizational' 11 period, and to provide for the issuance of district bonds to be paid 12' solely from the operating revenues of such district] to provide for the 13 issuance of district bonds; to provide for the levy of taxes for the pay- 14: ment of operation and maintenance, expenses and to supplement other 15 revenues available for the payment of principal of and interest on such 16 bonds of said district p: granting said district the franchise to carry 17 on its. operations in municipal corporations within its boundaries; 18 exempting the property and bonds of said, district from taxation; 19 validating the creation aiid organisation of said district; and for 20 other purposes related thereto.
