Knickerbocker, General Manager, Union Pacific System Los Angeles, California, Dear Sir: Your letter of March 6, file 9315-34, above subject: I have analyzed your letter by paragraph, and I believe that I thoroughly understand, instructions therein. Referring to T>rragTc oh Five (5), Page Two (2), in reference to water connection for industrial site to serve Units Two (s) and Three (3): During Mr, Reynolds visit here it was proposed to serve Unit Two (2) by Six Inch (6") water connection to the L. V. L, & W Co, mains on Stewart Street, This should service to this Unit, give a very satisfactory Is it the inten-tion of carrying this same line under the Railroad tracks to Unit Three (3), or will Unit ^hi4ec §§§1 he connected with our w mains in Old Town, or road from Unit 3? iter west Side, which lie directly across It would appear to me that it would be much more satisfactory and less costly to connect Unit fhree (3) with the Old Town system, rather than carry it from Main Street under' Rail­road tracks to this Unit. The matter of closing Main Street from G-arces Street So, has been through the District Court here and has now been appealed to the higher court, decision of which is still pending.
