PROPOSED ORDINANCE Liquor and Gaming Zones GAMING APPLICATION New PROPOSED SALE OF CITY PROPERTY At this time a proposed ordinance on liquor and gaming zones entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 5, CHAPTER 13 AND SECTION 4, CHAPTER 16, OF THE LAS VEGAS NEVADA CODE, 1949, BY DEFINING WHERE GAMBLING MAY BE CONDUCTED AND WHERE TAVERNS MAY BE LOCATED; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, was read by title and referred to Commissioners Sharp and Whipple for recommendation. Commissioner Whipple moved that the new gaming license of Waverly Investors, Inc., Ann Wishnoff, Sam Allen and James Pappas for 3 slots at the Crystal Cafe, 133 North 3rd Street for the second quarter 1955 be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Jarrett and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Sharp moved that the City Manager secure an appraisal of city owned property in the SE¼ and the S½ of the NE¼ of Section 36, T20, R62E, MDB&M, which includes approx­imately 240 acres; further, that the property be put up for sale and the funds derived therefrom used for park improvement. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time, Commissioner Sharp moved this meeting adjourn. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. CALL OF SPECIAL MEETING May 11, 1955 TO: SHIRLEY BALLINGER, City Clerk Las Vegas, Nevada A special meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada is hereby called to be held in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, on the 11th day of May, 1955, at the hour of 8:00 P.M. to consider the following matters: 1. Canvass of Election held May 3, 1955. 2. Service & Material Warrants Nos. 2372 to 3054 and 3056 in the total amount of $6,192.00. 3. Application for two additional taxicab licenses - Western Cab Company. 4. Ordinance amending assessment roll on Assessment District No. 100-25. 5.
