    ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 100-23 Opening of Bids for, Improvement ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 100-26 Opening of Bids for Improvement ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 100-27 Opening of Bids for Improvement EMERGENCY ORDINANCE No. 608 Water WHEREAS, such assessment roll was filed on the 21st day of April, 1954; and WHEREAS, a public protest hearing was held on the 3rd day of May, 1954; and WHEREAS, the said roll needs to be corrected and revised before con­firmation to correct typographical or clerical errors and to modify all assessments if the construction price proves to be substantially different than the estimate price. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas at a special meeting thereof held on the 3rd day of May, 1954, that the Ex-Officio City Assessor be, and he is hereby directed to re­vise the assessment roll heretofore filed to show the amount of assessments in the total of $300,723.00. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said revised roll shall not increase any assessments heretofore shown on the original roll; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the revised roll shall be filed with the City Clerk on the 5th day of May, 1954. Motion seconded by Commissioner Jarrett and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Baker. This being the time heretofore set for the opening of bids for the in­stallation of improvements in Assessment District No. 100-23, bids were received from the following firms: H. W. POLK $ 373,504.50 V. C. MENDENHALL 442,728.00 GIBBONS & REED 481,341.50 WELLS CARGO 356,535.00 Commissioner Sharp moved the foregoing bids be referred to the City Engineer, Comptroller and City Manager for tabulation and recommendation. Motion seconded by Commissioner Jarrett and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Baker. This being the time set for the opening of bids for the installation of improvements in Assessment District No. 100-26, bids were received from the following firms: H. W. POLK $ 117,250.00 J. A. TIBERTI 149,650.00 YOUNG AND SMITH 153,835.00 LONGLEY CONST. CO. 154,590.00 Commissioner Sharp moved the foregoing bids be referred to the City Engineer, Comptroller and City Manager for tabulation and recommendation. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Baker. At this time an Emergency Ordinance entitled: AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE TO PLACE THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE WASTAGE OF WATER WITHIN THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS: TO REPEAL SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO. 411 ENTITLED: "AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE TO PROHIBIT THE WASTE OF WATER; DEFINING WASTE OF WATE: REGU­LATING THE USE THEREOF: LIMITING THE TIME DURING WHICH WATER MY BE USED FOR SPRINKLING OR IRRIGATION, AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH": ALSO REFERRED TO AS CHAPTER 37, SECTION 7 OF THE LAS VEGAS CITY CODE, AND TO REPEAL ORDINANCE NO. 302 ENTITLED: "AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE TO REGULATE THE USE OF WATER IN WOODLAND PARK ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS BETWEEN THE MONTHS OF MY 15 AND SEPTEMBER 15 INCLUSIVE: AND DEFINING THE REGULATION OF WATER: REGULATING THE USE THEREOF, AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE: AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH: ALSO KNOWN AS CHAPTER 37, SECTION 8 AND 9 OF THE LAS VEGAS CITY CODE: PROVIDING OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATED THERETO: AND REPEALING ALL 5-3-514
