I agree.? Nov. 8 enclosing copy E„* J, Connors’s letter Nov. 6 to Genl. Chairman Zlesel. Had conference here today with Zlesel and Local Chairmen Huber and Murphy. Have their concurrence disposing case at LVGS on basis that RE forces will perform work originally outlined for them on RR owned property and permit Contractor to handle within limits of the streets, with further understanding that this will not establish precedent in other cases involving similar controversy* Suggest telephone or telegraph advice to AP of L executives in Washington requesting they instruct local AP of L representatives LVGS to permit Contractor immediately perform work. Signed GCF End Quote Apparently both RR and local organizations are willing that McNeil proceed with reservoir, settling basin and the pipe line in Charleston under contract, present dispute hinging upon jurisdiction over water lines on RR property. Am afraid if we delay much longer in constructing water line we will get some heavy rains and ground water that will vastly increase cost of constn, and would like your authority to proceed with both pipe line and reservoir and settling basin constn if local unions will withdraw their strike allowing the other jurisdictional matter to take its course.
