Bennett: Referring to my letter to you of April 20, 1943f and subsequent correspondence, with respect to appli­cation of the Las Vegas Land & Water Company to the National War Labor Board for authority to adjust the compensation of three employees, which application was approved as evi­denced by your letter to me of August 18, 1943* Mr. Strong has recommended and the execu­tive officers here have approved the application to cer­tain employees of the LVI*&W of the wage increase authoriz­ed by the Washington agreement of January 17, 1944, subject to securing approval of the NWLB. Application has been filed with the Treasury Department to adjust the compen­sation of Mr. A. U. Folger, Superintendent. I have pre­pared and hand you herewith, in triplicate, application to the NWLB, prepared on Form NWLB 10, for authority to increase the compensation of the eleven employees listed in the application in conformity with the Washington agreement. Please present this application to the Wage qnd Hour Division of the Labor Department at Los Angeles and endeavor to secure approval.
