November 19# 1953 1”733^ ka R MEMO: % Nov 2^ 195 Mr. Reinhardt: Referring to your letter to Mr. Hanson November 12, 1953# relative to proposed construction of new water tank at Las Vegas incident to transferring water appropriation from water field to shop well* In conversation with Division Engineer^ office today I was informed that the awarding of contract for erection of this tank is being handled by Mr. ¥. C. Perkins with a firm in Kansas City. Some time ago Mr. Perkins had Division Engineer make some soil tests at site where tank is to be erected. Data was furnished to Mr. Perkins so foundation for tank could be designed. Division Engineer has not yet been furnished data and prints so foundation can be constructed by Division forces nor does Division have any information as to award of contract for tank erection which would indicate when construction is to be started or completed. In the meantime, water service forces are laying pipe lines and doing what they can under the work order, and state this part of the work will be completed by the time the tank is erected. L. C.
