Las Vegas - November 6, 1945 W 23-1-B Mr. L. A, McNamees Referring to our conversation today regarding reply from Mr. Shamberger to your letter conoerning the establishment of An Artesian water basin in this Valley, in which he advised that a petition had been , signed by thirty-four water users in this Valley in 1940. We checked with the County Recorder and Assessor, the latter having received a letter from state Engineer outlining the limits of this basin for assessment purposes. I enclose for your ready reference a map of the County showing this basin outlined in blue. The description is as follows: Commencing at the NW Comer of See. 1, T. 20 S., R. 60 E.; thence easterly 11 miles tblthe HE Corner of S. 3, T. 20 S., R. 62 E.; thence south 6 miles.to the SE Corner of 8. 34, T. 20 8., R. 62 E.; thence westerly 1000 ft. to the ME Corner of S. 3, T. 21 8., R. 62 E.; thence southerly 8 miles to the 8E Corner of 8. 10, T. 22 8., R. 62 2.; thence westerly 10 miles to the SW Corner of 3. 7, T. 22 8., R. 61 E.; thence northerly 8 miles to the Hi Corner of Section 6 , V. 21 8., R. 61 E.; thence westerly 4000 ft. to the Si Corner of 3. 36, T. 20 8., R. 60 S.; thence northerly 6 miles to the point of beginning. ft.' ^Ka c k e k AMFsep- Enc.
