    OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK, CITY OF LAS VEGAS, CLARK COUNTY, NEVADA. NOVEMBER 28th, 1936. Minutes of a recessed regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas held on the 28th day of November 1936 at the hour of three o'clock P.M. Roll call showed the following present Mayor Cragin, Commissioners Arnett, Marble and Down, City Attorney and Clerk. Absent Commissioner German. The question of the awarding the bids presented for materials to be used on the sewer lateral system in the City of Las Vegas, now under construction was brought before the Board for consider­ation. After some discussion on the matter on motion of Commissioner Marble seconded by Commissioner Arnett it was moved and carried that Commissioner Down handle awarding of all bids on the pur­chasing of materials used in the installation of the sewer lateral system. Vote was as follows: Commissioners Arnett, Marble and down and His Honor the Mayor voting aye. Noes none. At this time a number of beauty shoppe operators appeared before the Board requesting a change in the ordinance governing beauty shops. No decision was reached on the matter and the operators were ask to appear before the Board at December 4th, 1934 with a outline of the proposed ordinance. On motion of Commissioner Marble seconded by Commissioner Down the following slot machine licenses were granted: Outpost Trading Company 2 L.L. Arnett 4 Vegas Sweet Shoppe 1 Art Schreiber 2 Vote was as follows: Commissioners Arnett, Marble and Down and His Honor the Mayor voting aye. Noes none. On motion of Commissioner Down seconded by Commissioner Arnett it was moved and carried that C.V.T. Gilbert be granted a "family liquor store" license $50.00, and Anna Lujan a retail beverage license price $10.00. Vote was as follows: Commissioner Arnett, Marble end Down and His Honor the Mayor voting aye. Noes none. Ted Homan appeared before that Beard at this time in regard to securing the use of the City street graders for leveling off the site of the old airport. No definite decision was given at this time. No further business appearing before the Board at this time the meeting adjourned. OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK. CITY OF LAS VEGAS, CLARK COUNTY, NEVADA. DECEMBER 4th, 1934. Minutes of a regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners held on the 4th day of December 1934 at the hour of three o'clock P.M. The following answered roll call: Mayor E.W. Cragin, Commissioners Arnett, Marble, German and Down and the City Attorney and Clerk. All claims allowed as per claims and warrant register on file in the office of the Clerk. Reports of Municipal Judge and City Clerk approved by the Mayor. Money received for the month of November as follows: $1,013.02 Sale of street Materials 1,953.29 Misc. licenses, fees and permits 551.95 Garbage Fees 276.00 Municipal Court Fines 162.50 Cemetery lot sales 32.50 Sewer lateral materials 253.75 Library savings certificated $4,243.01 Total co lections. Money proportioned as follows: $1,013.02 Street Fund 2,781.24 General Fund 162.50 Cemetery Fund 253.75 Library Checking Fund 32.50 Sewer Lateral Fund $4,243.91 Total At the direction of the Finance Commissioner the following funds were transferred: $430.45 from the General Fund to the W.S. & L. Fund 445.55 from the Street Fund to the Sewer Bond Fund 551.95 from the General Fund to the W.S. & L. Fund
