I agree.MEMORANDUM FOR FILE: Los Angeles, August 2£th, 19W- 733M-Our Reqn. 6M--100, dated August 2nd, 19*44, Purchase Order 36-SD-*l477» ordered parts to change over two 12“ L Type «S« Pumps at Las Vegas, Nevada, from Byron-Jackson Co. Today, Mr. Vonnegut, representative of Byron-Jackson Co. advised that they have advice from the factory that the earliest possible shipping date for the two motors is November the 29th, 19*44, from Schenectady, N.Y., allowing 15 days for the shipment enroute to Byron-Jackson Shop in Los Angeles, two days in the shop installing motors on bases, testing, etc., two days shipment to Las Vegas and two to three days for installation of the motors and runners, etc. in the pumps. It appears that the completion date of the change over would be approximately December the 22nd or 23rd. Mr. Vonnegut advises that the certified dimension print for foundation required for these motors has not been received from the manufacturers. It is their opinion that the present concrete foundation will be large enough to accommodate the base of the new motors and, furthermore, the present anchor boltewill fit holes in the new motor bases. Mr. Vonnegut advises they will continue to urge the General Electric Co. to advance shipping dateif at all possible. R. L.
