I agree.lias Vegas - A p ril 6, 19^9 V 18-4 Mr. Wm. Stelnhardt? The concrete floor in the lobby of the Rooming House here is cracked and uneven, presenting hazard of injury. Same is true of the floor in the Water office. The cause is apparently due to roots of cottonwood trees penetrating under building wall and causing floor to bulge upwards* We have corrected the cause by removing the trees in front of building, and are now ready to repair the floor. It appears there are two ways this can be done? (1) Fill th- ©racks with Stone-hard, chip off the raised spots and recover with asphalt tilej or (2) Break the floor out and repair with concrete after removing the dead roots. A local floor company will handle Job {%) for 5 0 # a square foot, including the asphalt tile covering, and the area is 19 x 48 feet, cost 1450,00. However, we would still have a patched up Job, and I believe we could have the floor repoured for approximately the same cost, without the tile. Will appreciate it if you will ask Architect Beeia to call on me the next time he Is In this vicinity so we can look over it together* A. M. Folger
