Extension of franchise, Las Vegas Land and water Company, to cover Industrial Diatrict No. 1, at Las Vegas, Nevada. Los Angeles, California, June 3, 1931. Mr. A. S. Halsted; Replying to your letter of May 28th, your File 174-2, relative to the above: As Industrial District No. 1 and, in fact, all of our railroad station ground at Las Vegas, is privately owned land of the Railroad Company, there is no necessity for procuring any extension of our present franchise, inasmuch as our certificate of public convenience and necessity issued by the Public Service Commission covers all of the area within the city of Las Vegas. which is approximately two miles square, and our permit from the city of Las Vegas covers all of the streets and alleys. There should, however, be blue prints prepared showing the particular location of the 2,425 feet of water pipe line proposed to serve Industrial District No. 1, and the Railroad Company should grant an easement to the Las Vegas Land an Water Company, under such terms and conditions as may be agreed upon, of the right of way for such pipe lines. Insofar as any franchise is concerned the Railroad Company is now in a position to turn over this pipe line to Las Vegas Land and Water Company. FRM-H F. R. McNamee cc?Mr.C.R.
