PROPOSED ORDINANCE Planning Commission PROPOSED ORDINANCE Rezoning PROPOSED ORDINANCE Loitering Commissioner Jarrett moved the City Manager make arrangements to have a line pub in from the nearest fire hydrant to the sewage disposal plant, and re­quest bids for this project. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following voter Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. At this time the meeting recessed. The meeting reconvened with all members present as at the time the meeting recessed. Commissioners Jarrett and Whipple reported unfavorably on the proposed Ordinance regulating installation of Television and Radio Antenna. Commissioners Jarrett and Sharp, committee for recommendation on the proposed Set Back Line Ordinance requested additional time for study. An Ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 36, SECTION 42, CODE OF LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, 1949, MAKING IT UNLAWFUL FOR ANY PERSON TO DRIVE A MOTOR VEHICLE WHILE INTOXICATED OR UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF INTOX­ICATING LIQUORS, OR STIMULATING OR STUPEFYING DRUGS; PROVIDING FOR FINES AND PENALTIES UPON CONVICTION; PROVIDING OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATED THERETO; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, having been reported on favorably by Commissioners Bunker and Whipple was read in full to the Board at this time. Thereafter Commissioner Whipple moved the above entitled ordinance No. 559 be adopted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioners Jarrett and Sharp, committee for recommendation on the proposed ordinance on Street Photography, reported unfavorably at this time. Mr. Dunn, photographer appeared before the Board at this time, and discussed the matter with them. Thereafter Commissioner Jarrett moved this Street Photographers ordinance be denied. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote? Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION IV OF ORDINANCE NO. 378, REFERRED TO AS SECTION 10, CHAPTER 24, OF THE LAS VEGAS CITY CODE, 1949 BY AMENDING THE LAND USE PLAN MAP ADOPTED BY THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, AND CHANGING THE ZONE DESIGNATION OF CERTAIN AREAS ON THE SAID MAP, having been reported on favorably by Commissioners Jarrett and Sharp was read in full to the Board at this time. Thereafter Commissioner Jarrett moved the above entitled ordinance No. 560 be adopted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote? Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. An ordinance entitled? AN ORDINANCE CREATING A CITY PLANNING COMMISSION FOR THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, NEVADA; PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF THE MEMBERS OF SAID COMMISSION; PRESCRIBING THEIR DUTIES; PROVIDING FOR OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATED THERETO; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH, was read by title and referred to a committee composed of Commissioners Sharp and Bunker. An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION IV OF ORDINANCE NO* 378, REFERRED TO AS SECTION 10, CHAPTER 24, OF THE LAS VEGAS CITY CODE, 1949, BY AMENDING THE LAND USE PLAN MAP ADOPTED BY THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS AND CHANGING THE ZONE DESIGNATION OF CERTAIN A REASON THE SAID MAP, was read by title and referred to Commissioners Jarrett and Sharp for recommendation. An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO PROMOTE THE PROTECTION OF HEALTH, COMFORT, SAFETY, LIFE, WELFARE AND PROPERTY OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, AND FOR THE PRESERVATION OF PEACE AND GOOD ORDER; FOR THE SUPPRESSION AND PREVENTION OF VICE WITHIN THE CITY BY PROHIBITING LOITERING AND PROWLING UPON PUBLIC AND PRIVATE PROPERTY IN THE NIGHTTIME: BY PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION; PROVIDING FOR OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATED THERETO? AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, was read by title and referred to Commissioners Jarrett and Bunker for recommendation.
