    The above and foregoing ordinance was first proposed and read by title to the Board of City Commissioners on the 2nd day of July, 1958, and referred to the following committee com­posed of Commissioners Fountain and Whipple for recommendation; thereafter the said committee reported favorably on said ordinance on the 16th day of July, 1958, which was a regular meet­ing held on said day, and at said regular meeting held on said day, the proposed ordinance was read in full to the Board of Commissioners as first introduced, and adopted by the fol­lowing vote: Voting "Aye": Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Baker. SCHELLACK Subscribed and sworn to before me this 25th day of July, 1958 s/ NEOLA GIERHART NOTARY PUBLIC IN AND FOR CLARK COUNTY, NEVADA My Commission Expires April l4, 1962 ORDINANCE NO. 772 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 17, SECTION 11, CODE OF LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, 1949, PROVIDING FOR LICENSE FEES FOR PERSONS OPERATING A MOTOR TRANSPORTATION SERVICE, EXCLUSIVE OF TAXICABS, WITHIN THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS; PROVIDING OTHER MATTERS RELATING THERETO; REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES, AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF. The Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas do ordain as follows: SECTION 1. Chapter 17, Section 11, Code of Las Vegas, Nevada, 1949 is amended to read as follows: Any person operating a motor transportation service for the carriage of passengers from place to place within the City, shall pay to the City, a semi-annual license fee of twenty-five ($25.00) dollars for each vehicle used in such transportation. Before such license shall be issued, the applicant must file an application, designating the routes, (As a matter of public policy and public convenience and necessity, only one such license shall be granted.) The above provision shall not apply to taxicabs licensed under other ordinances of the City of Las Vegas. SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 3. Any person who violates any provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punished by a fine of not more than $500.00, or six months in the City Jail, or any combination of both. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its reading and adoption and publication as in the next section provided. SECTION 5. The City Clerk and Clerk of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas shall cause this ordinance to be published once a week for two successive weeks immediately follow­ing its first reading end adoption in the Las Vegas Review Journal, a daily newspaper published in the City of Las Vegas, Nevada.
