August 30# 195^ Pile 80-11 Mr, Leo McNaraee P, 0. Box 472 Las Vegas# Nevada Dear Leo* I received in the mail the other day, without accompanying letter, what I presume is a draft of proposed resolution settling the final account as we discussed it with Mr. Brown. It has occurred to me that maybe we could shorten this procedure by writing a Joint letter to the Bank permitting it, in distributing this money, to deduct from the sums due the Water District and Railroads or Water Company the charges for the proportionate share of the escrow. I am therefore enclosing a draft of such proposed letter for your consideration and possible submission to the Board of Directors of the Water District. I have discussed this method of handling with our Accounting Department, and they say it is satisfactory to them, assuming the Bank in sending its check both to you and to us will itemise the deductions, which they normally would do. If you think this is satisfactory, you might discuss it with Mr. Brown, unless he has already billed the respective parties to the contract for the cost of escrow, title report, etc. If the District can not for accounting reasons handle the matter as I have suggested, the letter should be revised to instruct the Bank to pay to the Water Company from the Purchase Price Adjustment Fund the sum of $18,245.29, and to pay to the Water District from the Purchase Price Adjustment Fund the sum of $157,771.25, and there should be added thereto the following suggested paragraph!
