Las Vegas - May 24, 1943 R - 2 Mr. Prank Strong: We hare an application from Q. J. Scherer for a site on South Main Street where he can store lumber and mattrial shipments he is receiving by rail. Scherer now occupies Lot *s* on South Main Street and would like to have 100 foot frontage in the rear of his lot; that is to say, between the back end of his lot and the section house, in the territory where we have proposed to extend the present spur track southerly to Charleston Blvd. Considering the fact that we have reserved a 40 foot driveway, his depth would be only 70 feet, and this would be euffleient for his purpose. ^"he 100 foot frontage should start approximately 475 feet south of ths present terminus of the spur track: or commencing with an extension of the north line of Lot »*, and extending 100 feet eouth to an extension of the south lino of Lot Soberer Is the contractor who built the P i n t Rational Bank here, several prominent residences, and is pernansntly located here. He advises hs has been receiving an average of one carload of lumber per day. He advises hs will truck his material from the end of the spur track to this site. I recommend the lease be granted him.
