This refers to water service furnished the Young and Smith Ready Mix Concrete Company, 300 Wyoming Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada and rates charged for same. In this connection prior to September 1, 1952, under rate schedule #1? which was effective September 1, 1951 and approved by the Public Service Commission of Nevada, we charged this Company $$> per cubic yard of concrete manufactured. Effective September 1, 1952, under the present rate schedule, the rate of 6# per cubic yard was charged for each cubic yard of concrete manufactured. The Young and Smith Ready Mix Concrete Company felt these charges were unreasonably out of line with the amount of water used and filed a complaint with the Public Service Commission asking them to decrease the rates charged by the Las Vegas Land and Water Company. The Public Service Commission requested the Las Vegas Land and Water Company to submit a revised rate to cover this type of operation in view of the unreason* ably high rate charged for this type of service. The Las Vegas Land and Water Company submitted a new rate schedule to the Public Service Commission covering this type of service to be effective Deo* 1, 1952.
