The above and foregoing ordinance was proposed, read aloud in full, and adopted this 22nd day of November, A.D. 1937, by the following vote: Commissioners Krause, Marble, Ronnow and His Honor the Mayor L. L. Arnett voting aye. Voting No, None Absent: Commissioner Perry AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION STATE OF NEVADA )ss. County of Clark ( C. P. Squires being duly sworn, deposes and says: That he is Publisher of LAS VEGAS AGE, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, printed and published at Las Vegas, in the County of Clark, State of Nevada and that the attached Ordinance of the City of Las Vegas, being Emergency Ordinance No. 228, was published in said newspaper for a period of two weeks from November 26, 1937 to December 3, 1937 inclusive being the issues of said newspaper for the following dates, to-wit: November 26 and December 3, 1937 That said newspaper was regularly issued and circulated on each of the dates above named. That the legal charge for publishing said legal notice was $ Signed C. P. Squires Subscribed and sworn to before me this 3rd day of January 1938 Estelle M. Cox Notary Public in and for (Notary Seal) Clark County Nevada My Commission Expires December 29, 1940 ORDINANCE No. 229 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 2 AND SECTION 3 AS AMENDED, OF ORDINANCE No. 168 OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS ESTABLISHING A RESIDENCE DISTRICT, INDUSTRIAL AND COMMERCIAL DISTRICTS WITHIN THE SAID CITY OF LAS VEGAS: DEFINING SUCH DISTRICT: DECLARING IT UNLAWFUL TO ERECT, ESTABLISH, MAINTAIN, OR OPERATE CERTAIN FACTORIES, WORKS, OR ESTABLISHMENTS WITHIN SAID RESIDENCE DISTRICTS AND SAID COMMERCIAL DISTRICTS; REGULATING THE ERECTION, ESTABLISHMENT, MAINTENANCE, OPERATION AND REBUILDING OF CERTAIN WORKS OR ESTABLISHMENTS IN SAID DISTRICTS; PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF SAID ORDINANCE, AND REPEALING ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH."
