    AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR PAYMENT OF AN INVESTIGATION FEE BY APPLICANTS FOR GAMING AND LIQUOR LICENSES; AND OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATED THERETO. The Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas do ordain as follows: SECTION 1. Any person filing an application for a gaming or liquor license in the City of Las Vegas shall concurrently therewith deposit with the License Department an investigation fee based on the following schedule: A. INTOXICATING LIQUOR For each beer or beverage license, the sum of $25.00 plus an additional sun of $25.00 for each additional person required to be licensed. For all other intoxicating beverage licenses, the sum of $150.00, plus an additional sum of $25.00 for each additional person required to be licensed. B. GAMING l) Slot machines 1 to 5 No investigation fee " " 6 to 10 $ 25.00 " " 11 to 25 $ 50.00 " " 26 to 50 $100.00 plus $50.00 for each additional person required to be licensed. 2) SLOT MACHINE OPERATOR $200.00, plus $50.00 for each additional person required to be licensed. 3) KENO PARLORS - $200.00, plus $50.00 for each additional person required to be licensed. 4) ANY GAMING GAME NOT MENTIONED ABOVE - $300.00, plus $50.00 for each additional person required to be licensed. 5) The maximum fee for investigation of any one person for a gaming license, not in­cluding a corporation, however, shall be $300.00. SECTION 2. In the event any person shall be an applicant or member of a group of appli­cants, and such person shall have been previously investigated by the City of Las Vegas and shall have held a license within a preceding period of one year, no investigation fee shall be required. SECTION 3. In the event the applicant shall be a group or corporation, each stock­holder and officer thereof and the managing agent or managing director not appearing on the license, shall be investigated, the fee for such investigation to be $50.00. In the event an application shall disclose that the financing of the appli­cant or members thereof, shall have been furnished by any other person or persons, then such lendor or lendors shall be investigated, at a fee of $150.00 per person. SECTION 4. No investigation shall be made on any applicant for liquor or gaming li­cense prior to the payment by the applicant and receipt of such fee by the License Department of the City of Las Vegas, and no license shall be issued until all such fees are paid. SECTION 5. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby ex­pressly repealed. SECTION 6. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect as in the next section provided, and final passage. SECTION 7. The City Clerk and Clerk of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas shall cause this ordinance to be published once a week for two successive weeks immediately following its first reading and adoption in the Las Vegas Review Journal, a daily newspaper pub­lished in the City of Las Vegas. BAKER____________ Mayor /s/ SHIRLEY BALLINGER City Clerk The above and foregoing ordinance was first proposed and read by title to the Board of Commissioners on the 7th day of December, 1955, and referred to the following committee composed of Commissioners Fountain and Sharp for recommendation; thereafter the said committee reported favorably on said ordinance, as amended, on the 10th day of January, 1956, which was the special meeting held on said day, and ad said special meeting held on said day, the proposed ordinance was read in full to the Board of Commissioners, as amended, and adopted by the following vote: Voting "Aye": Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp,Whipple and His Honor Mayor Baker.
