    BE IT RESOLVED, this 20th day of February, 1957, by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, that the deed, dated the 18th day of February, 1957 executed by George H. Cobb and Kathleen M. Cobb to the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, and that the real property described therein be, and is hereby accepted, for the purposes and intentions as therein set forth; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be attached to said deed, and that the same be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of the County of Clark, State of Nevada, and this resolution be filed in the records of this Board. Commissioner Bunker moved the City Engineer be instructed to proceed as soon as possible to open, grade and gravel 6th, 7th and Bracken Avenue between 6th & 7th Streets. Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Sharp moved the request of Graydon Stark and Keith Johnson to transfer their tavern liquor license for the Bank Club from 2300 East Charleston to 2400 East Charleston be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Fountain moved the application of Thelma H. Pike for a Retail Liquor and Beer Bar license for the Sundown Liquor Store, 124½ North Main Street, formerly issued to Cecil Murray, be approved and the Supervisor of License and Revenue instructed to issue the new license. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Bunker moved the following new applications for gaming licenses be approved: DIXIE WAFFLE SHOP 24 Fremont George Burns 1 slot JIMMIE'S LIQUOR STORE 607 Van Buren Theodore Couch 2 slots Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Sharp moved the request of Graydon Stark and Keith Johnson to transfer their license for 4 slot machines for the Bank Club from 2300 E. Charleston to 2400 E. Charles­ton be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Sharp moved the application of Alfred Durante for license for one additional "21" game at the Golden Gate, 1 Fremont be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Sharp moved that Payroll Warrants Nos. 5389 through 5925 in the net amount of $74,334.11 be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Whipple moved that Service and Material Warrants Nos. 9526 through 9680 in the total amount of $103,191.04 be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Fountain moved the Minutes of February 6, 1957 be corrected to show that Commissioners Fountain and Sharp were the committee on the Animal Ordinance instead of Commissioner Bunker and Sharp, and approved by reference as corrected, and the Mayor and Clerk authorized to sign same. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Bunker moved the following applications for Charitable Solicitation Permits, as recommended by the Solicitations Review Board, be approved: VFW #1753 LADIES AUXILIARY CAMP FIRE GIRLS BOY SCOUTS LAS VEGAS CHARITIES, INC. LAS VEGAS LEGAL SECRETARIES WOMAN'S SOCIETY FOR CHRISTIAN SERVICE, FIRST METHODIST CHURCH AMERICAN RED CROSS Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioners Fountain and Sharp, committee for recommendation on the Animal Ordinance requested additional time before reporting. This being the time set for the opening of Bid No. 57.6 for the furnishing of an Insecticide Fogging Machine, a bid was received from the following firm: CLARK COUNTY WHOLESALE $1295.00 Commissioner Fountain moved the foregoing bid be referred to the Director of Public Works for tabulation and recommendation. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none.
