    5 7 2 CONDEMN UPRR PROPERTY Sewer Commissioner Bunker moved the Board authorize the City Attorney to condemn the UPRR property east of Hyde Park for sewer. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Sharp. RELEASE OF BOND Bel Air Tract # 1 Commissioner Whipple moved the Bond for Bel Air Tract No. 1 be released. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Sharp. REQUEST FOR PAYMENT Perliter & Soring Commissioner Whipple moved the request for percentage payment in the amount of $4544.00 by Perliter and Soring be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Jarrett and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Whipple and His Honor, voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Sharp. PROPOSED ORDINANCE Firearms At this time Commissioners Bunker and Jarrett members of the Committee for re-/ commendation on the proposed ordinance for Firearms asked for additional time before reporting. PROPOSED ORDINANCE Amendment to Plumbing Code An ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 520 ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE PROTECTION OF THE PUBLIC HEALTH AND SAFETY AND THE EXAMINATION, REGISTRATION, LICENSING OF PERSONS ENGAGED IN THE BUSINESS OF PLUMBING OR LABORING AT THE TRADE OF PLUMBING; REQUIRING A PERMIT FOR THE INSTALLATION OR ALTERATION OF PLUMBING AND DRAINAGE SYSTEMS; CREATING AN ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE AND A BOARD OF PLUMBER EXAMINERS, AND PRESCRIBING THEIR DUTIES; DEFINING CERTAIN TERMS; ESTABLISHING MINIMUM REGULATIONS FOR THE INSTALLATION, ALTERATION OR REPAIR OF PLUMBING AND DRAINAGE SYSTEMS AND THE INSPECTION THEREOF; PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR ITS VIOLATION AND REPEALING ORDINANCES NO. 476, AND ALL OTHER ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH"; BY PLACING THE PLUMBING INSPECTION DEPARTMENT WITHIN THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT; PROVIDING FOR COLLECTION OF FEES BY THE CITY CLERK; PROVIDING FOR BONDS FOR PLUMBING CONTRACTORS; PROVIDING OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATED THERETO; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH." was read by title and referred to Commissioner Jarrett and Whipple for recommendation. PROPOSED ORDINANCE Board of Zoning Adjustment At this time Commissioner Whipple member of the committee for recommendation on the proposed ordinance for Board of Zoning Adjustment asked for additional time before reporting. RIGHT OF WAY DEED Westside - Sewer Board of Education A deed for Westside sewer easement by the Board of Education was presented to the Board at this time for consideration. On motion of Commissioner Whipple, duly seconded by Commissioner Jarrett and carried unanimously, the following resolution is adopted and order made: #487 BE IT RESOLVED, this 6th day of January, 1954, by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, that the deed, dated and executed as follows: Board of Education of the Las Vegas, Union School District, dated December 1 8 , 1953. to the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, and that the real property described therein be, and is hereby accepted, for the purposes and intentions as therein set forth; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be attached to said deed and that the same be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of the County of Clark, State of Nevada, and filed in the records of this Board. RIGHT OF WAY DEEDS Street Purposes 8th & 9th Streets Deeds for street purposes on 8th and 9th Streets was presented to the Board at this time for consideration. On motion of Commissioner Whipple, duly seconded by Commissioner Jarrett and carried unanimously, the following resolution is adopted and order made: BE IT RESOLVED, this 6th day of January, 1954 by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, that the deeds, dated and executed as follows: a) Kay & Marilyn Howard and William J. ft Betty Urga, dated December 2 3 , 1953. b) William J. & Betty Urga and Kay & Marilyn Howard, dated May 15, 1953. to the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, and that the real property described therein be, and is hereby accepted, for the purposes and intentions as therein set forth; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be attached to said deed that the same be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of the County of Clark, State of Nevada, and filed in the records of this Board. CONDEMNED BUILDING 224 1/2 No. 1st St. Paralee Adams At this time the request of Paralee Adams for permission to conduct a closing out sale for one month at 224 1/2 North 1st Street, a condemned building, was considered by the Board. Commissioner Jarrett moved this request be denied. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Sharp. 1-6-54
