The Board of Water and Power of Los Angeles on November 7 Commissioners of 1940, amended Rule 3 Ciatsy follows! WATER MAIN EXTENSIONS FOR NEW SUBDIVISIONS RULE AND REGULATION NO. 3 Main extensions to serve new subdivisions eontlguous to the C ity's water system shall be made upon payment of a charge of 80 cents per foot of property frontage In such subdivision to be served by such extension and also a deposit of 80 cents per front foot of the frontage of property abutting the subdivision shall be made. This deposit w ill be refunded to payor or his assigns in semi-annual Installments as service maintenance charges are collected from consumers requiring service fo r the property abutting the subdivision. Howev in cases where the property abutting the subdivision Is of a character mating I t probable that no water w ill ever be used on the same, such deposit may, at the option of the Chief Engineer and General Manager of the Bureau of Water Works and Supply, be waived.
