    of the inhabitants of the said city, the preservation of peace and good order, the promotion of public morals and the suppression and prevention of vice in the city, and to pass and enact ordinances of any other subject of municipal control or to carry into force or effect any further powers of the city and to do and perform any every, and all acts and things necessary or required for the execution of the powers conferred or which may be necessary to fully carry out the purpose or intent thereof. Vote on the above Resolution was Commissioners Down, Krause, Marble and Perry and His Honor the Mayor voting aye. Noes, none. Absent none. On motion of Commissioner Marble seconded by Commissioner Down it was moved and carried that the action taken by this Board on Saturday the 3rd day of April, 1937 in regard to placing the following question on a ballot at the time of the General City Election to be held on the 4th day of May, 1937 be rescinded: STREET IMPROVEMENT BOND OFFICIAL BALLOT GENERAL ELECTION OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS ON TUESDAY THE 4TH DAY OF MAY, 1937. Instructions to voters: If in favor of the bond the voter will p ace a "X" in the square opposite the word "Yes". If opposed to the bond he will place a "X" in the square opposite the word "No". Shall the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas borrow the sum of Sixteen Thousand and Five Hundred Ninety-seven and 95/100 ($16,597.95) Dollars to cover certain unpaid assessments heretofore levied and confirmed by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas for the purpose of paying for the work of making improvements in the City of Las Vegas by grading for and the construction of oil bound gravel pavements on certain streets and portions of streets in the City of Las Vegas and particularly described in what is called "Las Vegas 1937 Improvements District No. 3", and to issue and sell the bonds of the City of Las Vegas therefor, said bonds to be known as "Las Vegas 1937 Improvement District No. 3 Bonds", which said bonds shall bear interest at no exceeding seven (7%) per cent per annum? FOR STREET IMPROVEMENT BOND YES AGAINST STREET IMPROVEMENT BOND________________NO______ Vote on the rescinding of the above was Commissioners Down, Krause, Marble and Perry and His Honor the Mayor voting aye. Noes none, absent none. On motion of Commissioner Marble seconded by Commissioner Perry it was moved and carried that the meeting adjourn. Vote was Commissioners Down, Krause, Marble and Perry and His Honor the Mayor voting aye. Noes, none. Absent none. There upon the meeting adjourned.
