^ c . * ) 7 H h H Lae Vega., aerada Hov. 1, 1934. Assjstant Ghief Engineer K In r e - Analysis o f Domestic Water- Las Vegas. Mr. F. H. Knickerbocker General Manager, U. P. System Los Angeles, Cal. Dear S ir : I enclose herewith a copy of le tt e r received from W, M. Barr in reference to above subject, and with b is le tte r I received copy of le tte r to you. There certainly must be some error in the analysis of the water, as per statement of Dr. S. L. Lee, State O fficer, as the analysis which we had taken a few weeks ago d iffe r s very m aterially from being of an unhealthy condition. I might say, however, that since June the 11th, one of the b ig springs which has been open to criticism sometime, has been e n tirely out out of the pipe lin e leading into the c ity , and the city and railro ad are supplied now only from waters of the new well and the origin al b ig Spring, which i s piped direct from Spring to intake box, I note what Mr. Bar- says in his le tte r to you in reference to the w ell being large enough to furnish the entire requirements of domestic needs. This i s s j t act, and i f necessary, we can cut the other Spring out o f the intake box. However, I think i t best to await further analysis, which Mr. Barr has asked for. Yours truly > Vice-President & Agent WRB/MKM Inc* ’ oo — H. A. Williams Arthur Maguire
