Feb. 12, 1920. 1899 Mr. T. M. Sloan, Los Angolas. Dear Sir*- I have your letter of February 11th In regard to rental bills, California Mutual Packing Company, in connection with which Mr. Woodill is undertaking to set off against rental due him under the oontraet of lease, the cost of certain improvements made by him. I would like to ask whether request was made for these improvements by Mr. Woodill, and if the necessity therefor was investigated by officials of the Company, a&d if, following this investigation, our officials declined to make the improvements.
