Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Additionals Commissioner Moore moved the following additional gaming applications for the second quarter of 1950 be grantees, BENTLEY’S TRADING POST O. W. Glenn 205 Fremont 3 slots LAS VEGAS CLUB A. F. Schellang 18 Fremont 53 Tango Chairs Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Moore moved the application of Ethel's Liquor Store, 28 Fremont for 12 slot machines for the second quarter of 1950 be granted to the First National Bank. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote; Commissioner Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. LIQUOR APPLICATIONS Commissioner Moore moved the application of Iris MacNabb, Midget Cafe, 219 North 1st Street for a Retail Restaurant Beverage liquor license for the second quarter of 1950 be granted pending the favorable recommendation of the Police Department upon investigation. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Moore moved the application of the Log Cabin Bar, Margurite White, be denied. This motion lost for lack of a second. Thereafter Commissioner Moore withdrew his motion. Commissioner Bunker moved the application of Margurite White, Log Cabin Bar, 123 North 1st for a Retail Tavern Liquor license for the second quarter of 1950 be granted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, Commissioner Peccole. Commissioner Moore passed his vote. ORDINANCE NO. 413 An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE EMPOWERING, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE EX- Street Lights OFFICIO CITY ASSESSOR OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, COUNTY OF CLARK, STATE OF NEVADA, TO LEVY A SPECIAL ASSESSMENT TO DEFRAY THE COST OF MAKING CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS IN THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS BY INSTALLING COMPLETE STREET LIGHTING FACILITIES WITH THE STEEL STANDARDS AND SINGLE OVERHEAD WIRE ON SERIES LIGHTING SYSTEM ALONG CERTAIN STREETS AND PORTIONS OF STREETS IN SAID CITY, ACCORDING TO THE PLATS, DIAGRAMS, AND ESTIMATES OF COST THEREOF ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, DESCRIBING DEFINITELY THE LOCATION OF SAID IMPROVEMENTS, STATING THE AMOUNT OF SAID ASSESSMENT AND DESCRIBING AND DESIGNATING THE LOCALITY CONSTITUTING THE DISTRICT TO BE ASSESSED ACCORDING TO THE FRONTAGE, AND OTHER MATTERS RELATING THERETO, having been reported on favorably by Commissioners Bunker and Peccole, was read in full to the Board. Thereafter Commissioner Bunker moved that Ordinance No. 413 be adopted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none.
