Laa Vegas ,Nev.- Relay Water Maine... W Los Angelas, October 14,1921. Mr. Maguire; Referring to my letter of Oct. 12th, I have to advise that after consultation with Mr. F. Bates, and further investigation, it develops that Mr. M iller's joint telegram to you and Mr. larry, were misleading as to what the lodger value should consist of. The statements in my letter of Oct. 12th were correct up to the last sentence which is erroneous. I did not go far enough, and consequently overlooked the fact that under A.F.B. 1965 the vitrified pipe was laid across the yard, and that although the 18" wood pipe across the yard, laid under A.F.B. 671 was never in R.& ®. accounts, and the original steel pips was retired under A.F.B. 1965, the vitrified pipe laid across the yard under A.F.B. 1965 remained in R.& E. accounts. The ledger value of this latter pipe which will now, from an accounting standpoint, be displaced by the 16* Cast iron pipe, should be retired. The prioe per lineal foot used in retiring 4000 ft. under A.F.B. 2354 and 2600 ft. under A.F.B. 2982 was $ 1,921 BDP/SK
