Lear S ir : - I have read M r.T ilto n ’ s jo in t rep ort o f May eigh teen th , concerning h is recent examination o f the Las Vegas pipe lin e , w ith a great d eal o f In te r e s t; and in view o f his recommendation, I suggest that the Operating Department be in stru cted to examine th is pipe lin e every two or th ree weeks, and promptly make rep airs to any and a l l leaks they fin d . I t would seem to me, a ft e r reading M r .T ilto n ’ s re p o rt, that w ith proper care and su pervision , th is pipe lin e can be made to g iv e reasonably good s e rv ic e fo r some l i t t l e time t o come, and with but s lig h t expense fo r keeping i t in good re p a ir.
