Bennett ffij Los Angeles Union Pacific Railroad Company RE: File 174-2 As District Attorney, I was prepared to make the contention that this contract for the free use of water was something which the Amalgamated Pioche Mines and Smelters Corporation entered into for the benefit of their mining interests, had nothing to do with the water system as such and was discriminatory, but since the water system has changed hands and the matter is now out of court and out of the control of the Town, I feel that this is something with which the District Attorney’s office is not c oncemed.
