    Commissioner Bunker then moved that said ordinance heretofore introduced and read in full at this meeting be now placed upon its passage. Commissioner Fountain seconded the motion, and the question being upon its passage, the roll was called with the following result: Those voting aye; Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and Mayor Baker. Those voting nay: None. The presiding officer thereupon declared that all Commissioners having voted in favor thereof, said motion was carried and said ordinance was duly passed and adopted. Commissioner Bunker moved this emergency ordinance be numbered 752. Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. ASSESSMENT DISTRICT Commissioner Bunker moved the following resolution directing that a public hearing NO. 100-35 on the creating of Assessment District No. 100-35 be held January 8, 1958 be Resolution on Public adopted: Hearing RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, have taken steps to create certain public improvements all as provided in Ordinance No. 752, passed, adopted and approved this 18th day of December, 1957; and WHEREAS, said Ordinance No. 752 discloses the intention and determination of said Board of Commissioners to create said district and construct said improvements by special assessment made according to frontage; and WHEREAS, said Ordinance No. 752 provides a time certain for hearing protests against said proposed improvements and directing that notice thereof be given, such time of the protest hearing being 7:30 P.M., on the 8th day of January, 1958. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas at a regular meeting thereof held on the 18th day of December, 1957; that the City Clerk and the Clerk of the Board of Commissioners be and she is hereby directed to publish notice of said hearing once a week for two successive in the Las Vegas Review Journal, a daily newspaper published in the City of Las Vegas; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk and Clerk of the Board of Commissioners be and she is hereby directed to post notice of said hearing in at least three public places near the site of the proposed work; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk and Clerk of the Board of Commissioners be and she hereby is directed to mail a copy of said notice, postage prepaid, as first class mail, at least fifteen days prior to such hearing, to the last known address of each last known owner of land within the district whose property will be assessed for the cost of the improvements, such addresses and owners being those appearing on the local property assessment rolls for general. (ad valorem) taxes of the County of Clark, wherein said property is located; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said notice shall be in substantially the form attached to this resolution and made a part hereof. ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 18th day of December, 1957. NOTICE NOTICE OF DETERMINATION AND INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT PAVING, CURBING, GUTTERING, INSTALLATION OF SIDEWALKS, AND STREET LIGHTING ON EAST CHARLESTON BOULEVARD BETWEEN FIFTEENTH STREET AND FREMONT STREET; TO CREATE STREET IMPROVEMENT ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 100-35, AND TO DEFRAY THE ENTIRE COST BY SPECIAL ASSESSMENT AND OF THE HEARING THEREFOR. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on December 18, 1957, the Board of Commissioners and Mayor of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, adopted and approved an ordinance declaring the Board's determination to make certain public improvements by paving, curbing, guttering, installing sidewalks and street lighting on East Charleston Boulevard, by constructing and reconstructing concrete curbs, gutters, and valley gutters wherever said improvements are missing, constructing and reconstructing sidewalks wherever the same are missing and installing street lighting composed of concrete bases, aluminum standards, mercury vapor luminaries, underground and single overhead wire, and series lighting system together with such appurtenances as may be required, to create a special assessment district designated Street Improvement Assessment District NO. 100-35 therefore, and to defray the entire cost and expense thereof by special assessments made according to frontage against the owners and the assessable lots, premises and property specially benefited by such improvements and included within said district. The street to be improved is: EAST CHARLESTON BOULEVARD from the Westerly line of FIFTEENTH STREET to the Westerly line of FREMONT STREET. The boundaries of said proposed assessment district are as follows; Beginning at the northwest corner of the Northeast One-Quarter (NE¼) of the North­West One-Quarter (NW¼) of Section 2, Township 21 South, Range 61 East, M.D.B. & M., said point also being the intersection of the centerlines of 15th Street and East Charleston Boulevard; thence South 0°16'52" East along the center line of 15th Street South a distance of 147.71 feet; thence East a distance of 30 feet to the southwest comer of Lot 1, Block 4 Amendment to Plats of Huntridge Subdivision 12-18-57
