Xt now appears advisable to have for use at the hearing a statement of the actual operating revenues and expenses of the Water Dept, for the year 1950 based upon the new eon- t1r95a0c,t Ub.ePt.w eAeund itthe N Ro.a il7r45o3a1d. and LVIAWCo. dated November 30.* Will you please send me as soon as possible for use in the hearing 25 copies of a statement of the revenues aad expenses of the Water Dept, for the year 1951 prepared substantially in the form of sheet 1 of table L of the Wehe report, omitting reference to r&te base figures, in preparing this statement, it is assumed that you will use the actual effective income tax rate for the year 1 9 5 0 , Will you also furnish separately several copies of a breakdown of the item of management expense shown in the above statement. In furnishing this, will you please furnish as detailed a statement of the services performed by the various management offices during 19 5 0 and of the method used in computing the management expense as it is possible to give. This is a new item of expense not heretofore charged and X am certain that the protestants and the Commission will attack it, X would like to obtain as mush information as possible in justification of this Item. It is not intended that the detailed statement concerning management expense will be used as an exhibit in the case.
