The Contractor s h a ll make good, without cost to the Corner, any omissions from h is work or negligen ce in connection th erew ith , or any improper m ateria ls or d e fe c tiv e workmanship or consequence th e re o f, o f which he may, in w r itin g , he n o t ifie d w ith in one year o f the date o f the f i n a l c e r t if ic a t e , hut th is gen eral guarantee sh a ll not act as a waiver of any s p e c ific guarantee f o r another length o f time set elsewhere in th is con tract. In case o f'd is p u te , the Owner s h a ll remove the rubbish and charge such p ortion o f the cost o f the removal to the Contractor as determined by the Engineer. ARTICLE 26. The Contractor s h a ll promulgate and enforce ru les to prevent, and i t s h a ll be h is duty to prevent: 1. The lig h t in g o f open f i r e s upon the premises in or dangerously near any b u ild in gs situ a ted upon or adjacent to said premises. 2 t Smoking w ith in the b u ild in g a ft e r the ro o f is on. 3 . The erectiop. on or about the premises o f any sign , b illb o a r d or other advertisem ent by the Contractor or h is subcontractor, except by w ritte n permission . o f the Engineer. k. Loading o f any part o f the structure with a weight g rea ter than i t is ca lcu la ted to bear. ARTICLE 27 The Contractor must c a r e fu lly preserve bench marks, referen ce poin ts and stakes and in ca,se o f w i l l f u l or careless d estru ctio n , he w i l l be charged.with the re s u ltin g expense and s h a ll be respon sible f o r any mistakes that may be caused by th is unnecessary lo s s or disturbance. ARTICLE 28>, The Contractor sh a ll not do any work without proper drawings or in stru ctio n s and s h a ll, a t h is own expense, replace any work wrongly executed whether from lack of such drawings or in stru ctio n s o r otherw ise, ARTICLE 29. The Contractor sh a ll confine the storage o f m ateria ls and operations o f h is workmen to the lim it s in d ica ted by law, ordinances, permits or by the Engineer, and s h a ll not unnecessarily encumber the premises w ith h is m ateria ls.
