I agree.Las Vegas - Mareh 5* 19**® W l - h - I Mr. James F. Cox: ( co * Mr. Wank Strong) Please note the enclosed statement from A. 0. Grant, local Ford Dealer, In the amount of #22,00, covering repairs to broken front spring on 1935 Ford Sedan, Nevada License No. 26-152, danaged the morning of February kth; and bill for #5,00, tow charge, from Wayne's Auto Body Shop, fhe circumstances were as follows: About 2:00 AM February hth, Police Department notified us a car was stuck in ditch across North 9th Street, caused by leaky water main. Our forces responded promptly and found the tow car pulling Ford out of the cross section of oil bound pavement previously removed in North 9th Street at the time a leak had been previously repaired in this same location, The Police Department stated we were responsible for the damage, inasmuch as we had twice repaired leaks in this location. It is true that we had twice repaired leaky connections in this spot, which is one of the few locations in town where the water main is in the street. The owner threatened to sue and because of the small amount involved I considered it better to pay for the cost of repairs. Will appreciate your approval. A. M. Folger
