Los Angeles, Cal., March 24, 1911 Mr.W.H.Bancroft, ' Mr.J.Ross Clark, Executive Committee. Lear Sirs: I am just in receipt of advice from Walter Bracken, at Las Vegas, that the Act of Incorporation for Las Vegas has been past "by both Houses of the Nevada Legislature and signed by the Governor, and that it is stipulated in the Act that the citizens would vote on April eighteenth on the ratification of the Act. He states that the people there are all figuring on light** ing and putting down side walks on some of the streets, that is, I presume they are figuring on passing an ordinance compelling the property owners to put down sidewalks, and Bracken advises that while our force is at work erecting the new houses it might be advantageous and economical to have a three-foot sidewalk put down in front of all of the houses, as it will only be a matter of a very short time until parties in the town would be compelled to do this.
