In announcing the special 6th anniversary show, Entratter also released some statistics covering the 6 years of operation which has seen the Sands become the most heavily trafficked resort hotel in the,world. Of the 17,000,000 people who have passed through the Sands door, on an average of 1 person every 3 seconds night and day, 1,800,000 have been guests at the Sands, with ail average stajr of 2 days and 2 nights* Sixty percent of these people oatne ft^om East of Nevada-**with Texas, Illinois and New York claiming the majority of these guests. In addition to the 1,800,000 Sands guests who have stayed at the hotel, a total of 24,416 children 16 years of age have stayed at the Sands, with the bulk of this group visiting during the summer months. Of the 17,000,000 people who have passed thru the Sands, approximately 99250,000 have been women, with an average age "estimated" at 38, and with surveys showing that 86$ of the distaff tourists were married. To entertain this huge flow of visitors, Entratter has produced 110 separate shows since the inception of the Sands, each with a top star such as Danny Thomas, Frank Sinatra, Lena Home, Dean Martin, Nat King Cole, -more-
